  6. NcFTP is a free set of programs that use the File Transfer Protocol.  It's
  7. been around for quite some time now (circa 1992) and many people still use
  8. the program and contribute suggestions and feedback.
  9.  
  10. The main program is simply called "ncftp".  There are also separate utility
  11. programs for one-shot FTP operations (i.e. for shell scripts and command
  12. line junkies);  these include "ncftpget", "ncftpput", and "ncftpls".  Run
  13. each command without any arguments to see the usage screen, or read the
  14. man page.

  16. Also included is a batch processing daemon, "ncftpbatch", which
  17. is invoked by the "bgget" command from "ncftp" and also the "-b" flag of
  18. "ncftpput" and "ncftpget".

  20. Lastly, the "ncftpbookmarks" program is a full-screen utility program to
  21. manipulate user's FTP bookmarks.  Currently this is the only program which
  22. uses full-screen mode.
